I couldn't agree more. It is so easy to misinterpret the concept of hashing, not to mention the fact that the attitude of one single hasher may not reflect the attitude of another and this is not always clear if one only visits once.
Besides, the whole sub-culture feel of the hashing community, which grows mainly by personal invitation, is cool. I would like to see it stay that way.
In fact, I think the H3 is already too overt and 'out there' as it is - I wish we'd at least not spread the word in this sort of way.
Oh well... that's just my 0.02$

I'm going to steal a Sky Magazine when I'm on a Delta plane this weekend.

That is, if Disneyworld doesn't distract me too too much.... Image

Great article. If we get more jet setting frequent fliers all the better. . . Most of us aren't snobs or elitists anyway.

I looked supra. I am impressed with your command of latin and italics.

All I will say is it's cool to find the hash through word of mouth, and not know what's going on beforehand. cadit quaestio

But practically speaking, even though he very likely had nothing to do with it, shouldn't Royal Fuck (and any other Delta employee) get a down-down at every hash he attends until the Sky Magazine is no longer in circulation? Just a suggestion.

A down-down to every Delta employee in the hash? We don't have enough beer for that... ;)

I thought the growing trend in joint hashes was due to the fact that hares were scarce. Well, if that's the case, then we need some fresh meat/blood/suckers to lay these trails.

Something else to consider is the fact that there's an ever increasing list of old fart hashers gettting to hash for free. So, just like social security, we need to to get many new layers of younger hashers hooked & paying into the great hash Ponzi scheme.

MC there are plenty of potential hares! You need to bring back the mc bitcher and get these fuckos to lay trails!

There is no trend of joint hashes...no one wants to lay trail when the "other hash" has something more "appealing" happening.

And then some folks are slackers who would rather just run trail and never lay one (sorry, a major pet peeve)...and then there is a subset who won't even run and would rather go to the end and drink all the beer.

But whatever...we don't need to recruit new folks, just more folks need to get off their cans.

My two cents...

So, you are against virgins? Are you some sort of isolationist? I just really don't get the attitude behind "we don't need new folks"!

Just to put your mind at ease, me, TV & Tripod had our own out-of-pocket beer stop at your joint Commie hash. We came in towards the back of the pack. Plus, I only had 2 cups of the nasty, dark, keg beer.

I retired from the position of hare raising several years ago. We just plain need MORE people, NEW people. The ones we have now simply won't rise to the occasion, with the exception of the precious few that do everything year after year. :computer: :bitch:

You said, in your previous post, that we need to recruit new folks to lay trails. We have plenty of hashers already WHO NEVER LAY TRAIL...virgins are fine (and I prefer to acquire them the ol' fashioned way...by word of mouth) and should not be recruited so we can acquire more hares.

And trust me, sweety, I've never lost any sleep over what you do or do not do at a hash. Flattered that you think it was MY joint hash...I had nothing to do with it other than to take your money for said nasty, dark keg beer ;).

**hugs!** -SW

MC,

That "nasty, dark, beer keg" was Sierra Nevada, requested by the Hares, and since they
were Haring and I am the B/M, they got Sierra Nevada. And the Head Beer Snob of the Hash, who happened to attend, and who includes "Bitch" in his name was pleased with the selection, as were most who drank it.

Still, I am not without compassion and understanding for those who just can't live without a "lite" beer in hand, or a cider. I had an ice chest of Amstel Light nearby for those that wanted it. Unfortunately, by the time you got in, it (unknowingly by me) got carried away
to the little barn so a bunch of wankers could drink beer and stay dry and out of the lightning (which now I wish I had thought of that). I didn't know that when I pointed you in the direction of the chest. If you had come up to me, I could have gotten you either a Milwaukee Light (tho warm), Black Label (which Tripod got and drank warm-that's gotta be a rule 6!), or a Fosters. So, just for future reference, if you come to a Hash I am the B/M, see me.

You see I remember some Hashers and their drinking preferences. Myself, Tastes Great,
Star Whore drink Strongbow. Cums-on-the-Ceiling will drink that or Woodchuck Dry. Dunkin
Honuts drinks that when she drinks. Niplets likes Bud Light. Boner Rooter likes Yuengling. The last two are now found in the PH3 ice chests from time to time. Scared of "Foamy Head" (he knows who he is) has to drink whatever is in the keg first (because I lock up the
spare beer now). Rat's Ass likes Pink Lemonade, as well as Yoron, besides their beers. Anal
"Bitcher" loves Pauli Girl (which 1 year ago sold for $10/12 pack, but now goes for $14). You love Miller(?) Light, or was that Bud (?) Light. Aww, you love light beers.

Alas, due to faulty guesstimating, I wasn't expecting 85 Hashers. I corrected that next week and had more cold light beer out.
